Friday Writing Prompt aka Randomness!

So I decided to be completely spontaneous and open up a bunch of books and post the first sentence I see. For all you writers out there, try this for some inspiration. This will be interesting.

Shades of Earth by Beth Revis
” Where’s the real captain?”

New Ideas from Dead Economists by Todd G. Bucholz
“Did Keynes see the light or the mecca?”

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
” ‘I was the first of them.’ ‘I thought they always vanished..’ ”

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
“In the last two weeks, Mom’s programmed it to chime the opening of ‘It’s a Grand Ole Flag.’ ”

The Symptoms of My Insanity by Mindy Raf
“I don’t think anyone looks good under florescent lighting.”

Three Blind Mice by Agatha Christie
“There was a moment of silence.”

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
“At the same moment the ting of a bell sounded sharply.”

And now I will rearrange these into a dialogue…

“I don’t think anyone looks good under florescent lighting.”
“Where’s the real captain?”
“I was the first of them.”
“I thought they always vanished…”
There was a moment of silence.
“Did Keynes see the light or the mecca?”
At the same moment, the ting of a bell sounded sharply. In the last two weeks, Mom programmed it to chime the opening of It’s a Grand Ole Flag.
